And so it begins

Over 500 miles from Cardiff up to Fort William, where we will spend the night before the challenge, it’s a long journey and when we get to Scotland we travel through truly beautiful countryside.  Everyone is excited about tomorrows challenge, the training is complete and everyone is focused on the next 24 hours.

The team of 14 walkers and 4 drivers enjoy and good meal and the last sleep in proper bed for at least the next twenty four hours, more likely to be 36 for most!  The weather looks great when we rise and shine on Friday 5^th July and it feels like a long wait till 5pm and the start of the challenge, most rest and watch Andy Murray playing at Wimbledon on the television. Yes it is the Wimbledon final weekend and the last Lions test match to boot! Who chose the date?
